Expanding foam serves a multitude of purposes, but when you have fire-rated expanding foam, this takes it a step further. For up to 120 minutes (using B2 fire foam), this foam will resist fire, smoke and gas. As well as serving excellent filling purposes, fire-rated foam has great thermal properties and protects against sound too. It does not shrink and can be painted over, making it a great, all-round product that is useful for a variety of applications. It forms an effective seal against smoke and gas, it fixes strongly on most substrates with a high bonding strength and it won’t shrink or expand beyond its maximum expansion rate and is easy to apply, suitable for use around window and door frames.
