What Is Fire-Rated Glazing?

Fire-rated glazing is designed as part of a tested fire-resistant system to help provide protection against fire for a specified period of time.

Unlike ordinary glazing, fire-rated glazing systems may incorporate specially manufactured glass together with fire-resistant tapes, gaskets, setting blocks, sealants and other components.

Can I Substitute One Fire-Rated Product for Another?
