Superwool Glazing Tape / Gasket / White
is manufactured from body soluble fibres and specially selected binders to give a flexible tape with low thermal conductivity and good mechanical strength. They have a temperature range stability of up to 1200ºC (paper only, self adhesive backing can only withstand around 120 ºC), and are designed with the end user in mind.

Fire Rated Glazing Tape FAQ's
Q. Where can I get test evidence.
The tape is never tested on it's own, but as part of a fire rated window or door system, you will find all of the information you need on the relevant fire test certificate that relates to the frame or glass that you are fitting
Q. What types of glass should I be using with this tape.
The types of glass that this tape has been tested with are Pyrostop, Pyroswiss, Pyroban, Pyrobelite, Pyroguard and many others.
Q. How do I fit the tape.
Please make sure that the surface that the tape is to be stuck to is clean, dust free and grease free. When used in glazing, the tape can be adhered to either the glass or the frame.
There is a tab at the start of the tape to ease the separation of the release paper from the self-adhesive backing, please try to leave the release paper proud from the end of the roll if you’re cutting the tape part way through a roll to ensure the self-adhesive doesn’t start to peel away from the fibrous paper as this is the weakest point.
We recommend that the tape is stored in a damp free environment away from direct sunlight and used within 6 months.
Q. Can it be used externally.
Yes, it can be used externally, but it will need to be capped off with a silicon type material to ensure no water ingress.
Q. Is it easily cut.
Yes, you can cut the tape with a sharp Stanley type knife or scissors.
